From The Director
Arsenic and Old Lace by Joseph Kesselring is a play set in the early 1940's. It is a delightful comedy that never goes out of style.
For a community theater, this play is a wonderful venue for experienced actors, as well as less or non-experienced actors. The 14 parts in the cast allow for new folks to try out their talents with some smaller character parts, while the lead roles are challenging and fun. I am blessed to have a cast that is talented, game, and willing to take suggestions from the director!
I hope everyone will be entertained and leave the venue with a lighter heart than when they arrived. This was, in fact, what I believe the intent on the part of Mr. Kesselring, as a World War was raging at the time of this writing. Entertainment, in my opinion, a place where one can come and forget real-life for a time, is what theater should be.
