Auditions for BLT's "Over the River and Through the Woods" Announced
Aug 16, 2016
Join Bradford Little Theatre for the first auditions of it’s 20th season!
Director Nanci K. Garris and Producer Diane Kerner Arnett are reviving the first show both of them were involved in for BLT in 2002.
Auditions will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Aug. 22 and 23 at Togi’s Playhouse.
“Over the River and Through the Woods” takes place in Hoboken, N.J. and begins during a weekly Sunday dinner where Nick tells both sets of his Italian immigrant grandparents that he has been offered his dream job in Seattle, Wash. The old folks try a little matchmaking to lure him to stay, according to showrunners. The cast of six includes Nick; his maternal grandparents, Frank (who has begun running into things with his car) and Aida (a mama who keeps trying to feed everyone); paternal grandparents, Nunzio and Emma (“the loudest people I’ve ever met,” says Nick); and Caitlin (the daughter of Emma’s Canasta partner.)
Rehearsals will begin with a read-through on Sept. 6. The performance dates are October 14 through 16 at Togi’s Playhouse.
Those who are unable to make the audition dates but would still like to audition, should contact Arnett at firstname.lastname@example.org.
