BLT Haunted Playhouse to Fright and Delight
Oct 1, 2017
Folks with a taste for the macabre will enjoy “The Haunted Playhouse” being held Oct. 20-22 and Oct. 27-29 by Bradford Little Theatre at Togi’s Playhouse.
The brainchild of director Brian Lewis, the experience will take participants in a twisting path through every room of the former church.
“Don’t believe everything you see,” he said. “Appearances will be deceiving – and startling. There will be plenty of bones, blood, bugs and bodies.”
Without describing the surprising scenes, Lewis said there will be something for everyone who enjoys the creepy, scary, horrifying and grisly, from typical Halloween fare to outright nightmares. The event is not recommended those with a heart condition, breathing issues or sensitivity to flashing lights. The attraction is for mature audiences and children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
Doors will creak open at the 18 Welch Ave. site at 6 p.m. each night and will swing closed at 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and at 9 p.m. on Sundays. “The Haunted Playhouse” will be open rain or shine with a covered corn maze line and hay benches.
The faint of heart can take advantage of flashlight tours which will be offered upon request.
Haunted House mastermind and director Brian Lewis applies latex strips to Isaiah Hatcher's face while working on a mask for "The Haunted Playhouse" a haunted house attraction that will be at Togi's Playhouse the last two weekends of October.
Togi’s Restaurant will be teaming up to offer ghoulish treats and snacks.
Stage veteran Lewis has been preparing the attraction for months with the assistance of producer and BLT board member Jessica Ann Coder. Make-up director is Amy Thomas, a BLT veteran.
Tickets at $10 per person are available online at bradfordlittletheatre.org (a small surcharge applies) and will be available at the door. Tickets can also be purchased at Togi’s Restaurant and Graham Florist. All proceeds benefit BLT.
Participants include Isaiah Hatcher, Diane Arnett, Jared Hill, John Kearns, Lewis Keller Jr., Caleb Combs, Shaylien Niver, Laura Piccioli, Jared Piccioli, Kristin Asinger, David Merwine, Ashley Easton, Brent Bunker Stephanie McFall, Roy Collins II, Kelsey Geer, Taylor Mager, John Reed, Tiffany Mager, Michaelah Hatcher, Bella Mager, Dee Fitch, Taylar Mager, Logan Franklin, Ryan Close, Josh Hatcher, Connie Shanks, and Shiloh Hatcher.
